Faith in Jesus is what saves us but this is only the beginning of our Christian walk. Faith is not just a one-time event but a continual practice of trusting God. We must also not think that faith is automatic and that what we believed at first will simply carry us through life without much effort. Faith is a discipline—a choice, to believe and trust God every day. And by believing God, I don’t just mean the continuation of believing God for our salvation so that we stay in the faith. Walking by faith does look back at Jesus on the cross who also rose from the dead but that is only the beginning of what it means to walk by faith. In day-to-day life, faith is mostly focused on the character of God, the present promises of God, and the future fulfillment of all that God is and all that God has promised. When speaking of the future, it is both faith and hope.

I’m doing my best to make proper distinctions here because some people may get lost in all the Christian lingo and may have no idea or a wrong perception of what we speak of when referring to our faith in God. The faith that I speak of is absolutely necessary for sanctification, for Christian growth and development. Faith is the foundation of our growth and the only means by which we can truly overcome sin and rid ourselves of the passions and desires of the flesh. Passions such as: lust, greed, coveting, envy, anger, rage, a complaining spirit, frustration, bitterness, anxiety, fear, and other sins. It is by faith that these things are overcome. Now, one might think that they can simply get rid of them by refusing to do them or by doing them less and less. And you may even be able to achieve some success in this through discipline but discipline alone does not change the heart and it is the heart that is the heart of the problem (Lk 6:45; 12:34). What we’re aiming for here is not just behavior modification but heart transformation. That is achieved through faith. I know, it sounds a little counter-intuitive. Like, how are these powerful forces destroyed through only believing? To the natural mind, it may seem laughable—something make-believe. In the eyes of the world, venting one’s anger is said to be healthy whether that be yelling out cuss words or beating a punching bag. That’s the world’s solution to anger but not the Bible’s solution to anger. However, I’m not suggesting we bottle up and bubble up our emotions either so that anger intensifies within. There is a spiritual victory that can be attained through faith so that our hearts operate from a place of peace rather than from a place of strife. Peace in the heart can overcome yelling and wanting to vent our anger. I must also add that the solution to anger by using faith is not merely positive thinking or the use of the toolbox of psychology. The solution is deeper than that, more powerful than that, and more spiritual than that. The solution to the sinful passions is a spiritual one which transcends all man-made and man-contrived methods.

Romans 6:17-18 says, “But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” Paul explains to us the progression here to overcome sin. There are three things in this passage: the mind, the heart, and the will. It is the mind that acts first in believing the teaching which then transforms and moves the heart which then influences the will to act in obedience. Elsewhere, Paul tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Ro 12:2). It is in transforming the way that we think that we have the power to not be conformed to this world. John also tells us, “This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 Jn 5:4). Even with the armor of God, at least three of the armors are about truth: the belt of truth, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Eph 6). Even the shoes of the gospel of peace and the helmet of salvation could be argued to be about faith and hope. Faith and hope in the truth is basically all the armor of God. The only one left is the breastplate of righteousness. But even that righteousness is rightly attained through faith. So, faith is very powerful and it’s how we defend ourselves against the devil and his schemes. It is very clear then that faith in God and belief in the truth are the power we have to overcome the world.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” The first step in faith is to believe that God is, that God exists. Yet, to believe that God exists should go further than just His existence because His existence is not the totality of who God is. God is love. God is light. God is life. God is Spirit. And God is One. Those are all of the God is statements in the Bible which are connected to nouns rather than just adjectives. This is the very core nature of God’s essence which has existed for all time. To be pleasing to God, we must believe that God is these things. But, we must not stop there. Many people simply attain a knowledge of God but knowledge alone is not faith. If faith is real, it must be tested and prevail. That is why in order to be pleasing to God, we must believe that God rewards those who seek Him. If we really believe God is real and that He is a loving God, then we must believe that His reality will manifest itself in the real world and affect change. But faith must even go further than that, further than believing in the general goodness of God. If your faith is real and is to be pleasing to God, then you must believe for yourself that if you earnestly seek God, He will reward you. That is much more difficult to do than to believe in the general goodness of God for other people. Do you believe that God loves you and has the best interests for your good? Now your faith is being put to the test—it’s being put through the fire. Will it survive the flames? Will it prevail? Will you choose to believe even if the world is crashing down around you? Will you believe when your life is a mess and tragedy strikes? Will you believe even when evil and suffering afflict you? Will you continue to believe in God and that He will reward you even if it costs you everything? Even if you don’t see any results? Now, that’s the real test—for faith to overcome feelings, for faith to overcome sight, for faith to overcome time and all seeming evidences to the contrary. This is not a battle for the faint-hearted. It requires resilience to overcome. But this is the kind of resilience that is pleasing to God and it is the faith that God rewards.

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Faith is more than wishful thinking. Faith knows and believes that God will come through. Faith is convinced through conviction and assurance in the truth of who God is and what God has promised. And since God’s nature is unchanging and He is the greatest good, it is impossible for Him to fail to be loving and good in His nature and actions. Therefore, we can trust Him. God isn’t going anywhere. He is as firm as a rock. His nature is the anchor of our faith. He is a God who cannot lie and will make good on His every word. This is why we are assured of the things we hope for and are convinced they will come about.

Hebrews 11 then goes on to give many examples of those who lived by faith. It was by faith that Abel’s sacrifice was acceptable to God and Cain’s was not. It was about the posture of their hearts not about specifically what they gave. Cain’s sacrifice was rejected because of his unbelief and evil heart. Enoch was so pleasing to God because of his faith that he was raptured up to heaven and never saw death. God told Noah to build an ark because God would flood the world and Noah obeyed. It took him approximately 75 years to build the ark. With all the criticisms coming against him, thinking he was a lunatic, it would have been easy for him to question what he heard from God if it was truly God, if he heard right, and if he should continue building despite all the time, hard work, and resources put into the project. But despite any obstacle he may have faced, his faith prevailed and the ark was built. God told Abraham, “Go to a land I will show you,” and he went, not knowing where he was going, how long it would take, what all the future plans were. He was simply given that small word and started walking across the wilderness until God gave him the next direction. Moses was adopted and raised by Pharoah’s daughter and had been given all the luxuries of Egypt but he rejected the pleasures of Egypt, refusing to be identified as Pharoah’s daughter. As a result, he suffered for this action but considered that suffering to be a better thing than the treasures of Egypt because he was looking to his reward in heaven. The Israelites followed the instruction given to them by Joshua from the Lord to march around the city of Jericho seven times and then blow the trumpets and raise their voices so that the walls of Jericho would fall down. Although such an instruction was counter-intuitive and absolutely foolish to any strategic battle plan, in faith they followed the direction and the walls came down. Joseph was given a dream that one day he would be a mighty ruler and he believed that dream to be from God. Shortly after, his entire life fell apart. His brothers almost killed him but sold him into slavery. He lived as a slave for many years and then was falsely accused and thrown into a prison. We are not told that God spoke to him any other time except through that one dream many years ago. It was the only thing his faith could hold onto for his future, even through the passing of time and how memories naturally fade, he did not give up on God. In faith, he still believed that God spoke through dreams and he gave the interpretation to those who were later thrown into prison with him. Sure enough, his interpretations proved true and he persevered in faith and became ruler over all of Egypt at God’s appointed time. There are many more examples in the Bible of those who walked by faith but these examples should suffice for now. You see, true faith results in actionable obedience to God. Without action, such so-called faith would only amount to conceptual, philosophical, theoretical thinking.

But now having established the biblical basis for faith, the nature of faith, the result of faith, and some general examples of faith, let’s hone in on more specific examples of walking by faith to produce obedience to God.

To overcome anger, you must first ask, what is it you are angry about and why? Then, once you have identified the reason, speak truth into yourself and align your mind with the truth. You cannot expect the results to be immediate. It may be a progression of transformation as the heart has to catch itself up to what the mind believes. But continue to align your mind with the truth even though you don’t feel like it. Also, align your will, your actions, to the truth as well. If someone cuts you off in traffic and anger rises up within you, do what Jesus commanded. Pray for your enemies and those who persecute you. Give a blessing instead of a curse. Pray that God would bless them and give them peace. It may be difficult to do and every fiber in your being may not feel like doing it at the time, but do it anyway; and as you continue to align yourself with the way and truth of Jesus, watch and see how your heart changes and how anger diminishes. Do you truly believe that God’s way is better than your own? Then live by His words. Obey His commands. It will be a blessing and peace to you. What’s another example of anger? Let’s say someone stole something from you or defrauded you, how should you respond? In forgiveness because you have been forgiven by God. Respond also in faith, believing that the earth is the Lord’s and all that’s in it (Ps 24:1). You were just a steward of what God had given to you at the time and God will see to it that everyone who has done evil to you will be repaid according to that evil (Ro 2:6). Believe God when He says, “vengeance is mine, I will repay” (Ro 12:19). But if you do not truly believe that God will make right the wrongs, then you will take vengeance for yourself and find a way to get back at someone for any harm they have caused you. Therefore, align your mind with God’s justice and equity and leave it in His hands to take care of, trusting that God who owns all things can restore to you what was lost if He sees fit. Believe that whether in this life or the life to come, God will reward you for your faith. Therefore, the only true loss is if you lack faith.

To overcome fear and anxiety, ask yourself what thoughts are troubling you and why. Expose them out in the open so that your mind can think about them and align them with the truth. You may find that whatever your heart is feeling is simply not a rational conclusion. Often, people with panic or anxiety attacks, they jump to conclusions that are irrational and highly improbable. They’re not aligning their thoughts with reality. Another mistake was allowing their minds to jump that far ahead before stopping the thoughts in their tracks. They should have told themselves, “don’t even go there,” “this isn’t helpful,” “this isn’t profitable,” “these thoughts are not true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, etc. according to Philippians 4:8-9.” Therefore, do not dwell on them. After all, you’re not God. You can’t control the future. You can’t determine everyone’s destiny. So why act like you can? Why feel like it’s all up to you? Why put the weight of the world on your shoulders when the weight of the world only rightfully belongs on God’s shoulders? If God has compassion on the sparrows and they have their stomachs filled, will not He have much more compassion on you who are worth more than birds? (Mt 10:31). Can you add a single hour to your life by worrying? (Mt 6:27). What will that worry accomplish? It’s pointless to worry because it accomplishes nothing. Live in the present moment and take it step by step. Leave tomorrow for tomorrow. Worrying about tomorrow will do nothing to change tomorrow. Believe that God holds tomorrow in His hands and that you are very precious to Him. Align both your left side and right side of your brain with the truth that God is for you and God is good and God is in control. With the left side of your brain, align yourself with being logical and rational. With the right side of your brain, align your imaginations by cutting off the untrue and unhelpful imaginations and replace them with imaginations that God has got you, God will take care of you. You can rest peacefully in His arms of love, wisdom, and providence. Last but certainly not least, pray to God and give thanks to Him as Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Even if you think you may not be saved or may doubt your salvation, pray anyway and have faith. You are still more valuable than birds and God has compassion for all of His creation. God took care of the needs of Hagar and her child even though Ishmael was not the child God had chosen to bring the promise of Abraham to bless all nations. He is also the God who repeatedly commands His people to take care of the orphans, widows, and aliens because God has compassion on them regardless if they have faith in Him or not. Remember also the Centurion who asked the Lord for his servant to be healed and it was so (Mt 8:1-13) and how the Canaanite woman received her request from Jesus to heal her daughter even though she was not an Israelite (Mt 15:21-28). And ultimately, the love of Jesus is so large that He died for those who were and are His enemies so that they might be saved. Therefore, have faith that God is not lacking in His love and compassion and has the power to bring anything about.

To overcome depression and self-pity, recognize how unhelpful these things are. Acknowledge that there is a sort of pleasure you get from them but to be free from them you have to deny yourself that pleasure, cut off the songs that are feeding your self-condemning and self-depreciative thoughts. Recognize those things as toxic to your mind. Then align your mind with the truth that God loves you, God is for you, and God sees your struggle. Truly believe it. Do not think that God is ignoring you for your harm or is being cruel to you by teasing you or that He doesn’t care about you because He has not answered your prayer. Those are all lies from the devil. Fight to believe that God is loving, good, and just in all His ways. Understand that God doesn’t cause other people to hurt you or reject you. Everyone has their own free-will. Do not blame God for someone else exercising their own free-will against you. That’s on them. Know that since you love God and are a child of God, He will work all things out for the good (Ro 8:28). That doesn’t mean He determinatively causes evil upon you but He uses the evil already present in the world and redeems it—He turns it around to benefit you if you would allow Him to. That’s why James can write, “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4). We need to “let” the trials to strengthen us. But there are many who fight against the process and by fighting against it, they don’t let these things make them stronger. And so they stay stuck in a cycle of depression, fear, anxiety, and anger. But in doing so, they are only prolonging their pain.

Hardships in life can strengthen us and refine our faith so that we come out better and more useful to God in the future. The things we have learned, the sufferings we have overcome, and the faith that has been purified in us can all be turned around to crush the devil’s work. For those who have overcome these things, they can help and comfort those who are in the fire so that the devil will not be allowed to destroy those who are suffering. Therefore, persevere and overcome so that you will be able to help those who suffer later and will be able to get back at the devil for all the years that he tried to take you out. You have been given the key to victory that overcomes the world, your faith. So be an overcomer. Don’t be the victim. Don’t let the devil get the best of you. Do not give him the satisfaction that he craves. He doesn’t deserve it. He is not worthy of it. Finally, don’t let the feelings of your heart tell you what is true. Instead, speak to your heart and tell your feelings what is true according to God’s Word. Continue to renew your mind in the truth of God so that your feelings come into alignment with that truth. Also, align your will to the truth by being selfless and serving others so that your mind does not get self-absorbed in continually ruminating about your own sufferings. Consider and follow the example of Jesus in His humility and selflessness even in the times of His greatest sufferings. Serve God even when it’s hard, even when you don’t feel the motivation to do it.

To overcome lust, believe that God is better than the thing you crave and that fulfillment is in God and in obeying His commands rather than in lust. Do not see people for your own selfish self-gratification but as human beings with souls, with a whole life backstory, as people created in God’s likeness who need Jesus. Instead of lust for them, have compassion for them. Compassion is a selfless and pure love which is stronger than lust. It focuses on the other person’s needs and desires to be fulfilled rather than your own needs and desires to be filled. Develop a heart of thanks and gratitude. This is Paul’s admonition, “But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks” (Eph 5:3-4). Lust is wanting what you do not have. Gratitude is thanking God for what you already have. In this way, gratitude can suppress lust and bring about joy which brings about fulfillment so that the craving fades away. This is another reason why it is important to surround yourself with a loving community so that your heart will not feel lacking in love or joy. Complaining must go as well since that is an accomplice to lust as it focuses on what you do not have and how things are not going your own way. All other sins feed lust as well and must go like anger and anxiety. Deal with killing off your sin wholistically—not selectively. Romans 13:14 says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” To make no provision means to not feed it, to not even give it an inch. Do not even entertain the thought or the possibility of the thought. Stop those thoughts in their tracks before they go further. Focus your mind on God and the energy that your mind and body produces on doing God’s work, creative, and challenging tasks, because you were created to be productive, not idle. Do what you need to do to cut off the sources that feed your lust like going to particular places or using certain social media sites where those temptations are everywhere. Keep your mind sober in the Lord, in the truth, in the Word, and in the conscious presence of God. Recognize guilt and shame as your enemies which keep you bound. Find your identity in Christ not your sin. Do not dwell on the past but confess to God your sins and thank God and believe in faith that He has forgiven your sins and then focus on the future. Pursue faith in the Father’s love for you through Jesus Christ to tear down shame, fear, and unbelief. A lustful heart must be cleansed by the love of God through faith for it to truly be cured.

But even with all of these methods to fight against anger, fear, anxiety, self-pity, and lust, it pales in comparison to the method of faith I am about to share. But that is not to diminish all the things that I just said. These smaller steps of faith build up the overall faith to culminate into a greater faith. The previous method of faith I would categorize under the renewing of the mind. But this other faith is in another category of its own. It has the power to conquer all. It’s faith in the Father’s love. I know I kind of already mentioned that but here we will focus in on it more. There are many aspects about God that we can have faith in and that can strengthen us like faith in God’s sovereignty, God’s provision, His power, His justice, and equity. Those things can transform our minds when we align our thinking to them and they can result in transforming the way we feel and act. But it is only the Father’s love that can cleanse our hearts from evil passions and desires so that they remain crucified and our hearts remain at rest and peace where strivings cease. This love is the Father’s love personally to us and also His love in His goodness towards all people and all of His dealings with the world. If we doubt God’s love and goodness in any of these ways, then faith will not cleanse our hearts from evil. Because wherever there is doubt, there is not faith. This is where it is very important to have an accurate theology about God. This is also what the aim of my website is about, if you’re willing to read my teaching series. It’s how I finally put sin to death through the truth of the Father’s love. I had to deconstruct my previous beliefs to get there but I finally got there. But I had to use God’s Word and careful study to reconceptualize what God’s love, justice, wrath, sovereignty, and glory really are and how they relate to all of humanity. I had to reconceptualize why Jesus died on the cross so that I would rightly understand the love the Father has always had for me and how He has always been for me. Certain doctrines I previously believed were a hinderance to my breakthrough and held me captive to sin and shame. But I was delivered and cleansed from that through the Father’s holy love purging my heart from the darkness. And similar to the experience of Isaiah, it was like a hot burning coal came down from heaven and cauterized my heart and it took away my unholy desires. Darkness cannot remain where the light of God’s love has purged.

There was a time when I used to go to a Calvinistic church and they would constantly teach, sing, and emphasize the sovereignty of God. It came to a point where I even thought that my favorite attribute of God was His sovereignty. As if, we could compartmentalize God into individual parts… but God is a living being and His sovereignty is what He does but not who He is. God is Father as His very identity and in His very eternal nature as a Trinity, God is love. From His loving Fatherhood, comes all other things to which even His sovereignty is subject to. He is Fatherly in all His ways, even His holiness and justice. Those things are extensions of His Fatherly love. Reflecting back, I am baffled that this church loves God’s power over the world more than they love the love of the Father who loves them. It was such an impersonal atmosphere. But God’s power, control, and holy moral perfection apart from his love is a monstrous god—a god who cannot be trusted—a god that binds people into fear and shame and is unrelenting in his punishment. Their unhealthy emphasis and fixation on God’s sovereignty over His love did damage to my spiritual walk. Is it by the sovereignty of God that we are reconciled to God? Or is it the love of God by which we are reconciled? It was God’s love that is His primary act on the cross—not His sovereignty. So then why this emphasis on God’s sovereignty, power, transcendence, and moral perfection when God’s love is at the very heart and center of Christianity? God’s sovereignty did not heal my heart—only God’s love could do that. I also came to find out that trusting in God's love has much more power in faith than trusting God's sovereignty. Yet this church always emphasized trusting God's sovereignty over everything else. Suffice to say, after about nine years of going to that church, I never found the healing and victory I was looking for. The solution was not in that church. Their wrong emphasis, wrong theology, pietism, and shame-producing culture was death to me. It would have been better if I had stayed a dumb Christian than to have ever had learned their ways.

Moving on from that background story, I just want to reiterate the importance of reading everything I have shared about the atonement, God’s justice, and the afterlife on my blog so that you can know who God really is and by transforming your mind to the truth of God, you can learn to truly trust Him and believe He is good in every way. As a result, you can attain full faith in God’s love and goodness which will cleanse the darkness from your heart to be set free from sin so that you can enter God’s rest and continue to stay free. What kind of freedom am I referring to? Read this article on Romans 7 to find out.

Having faith in God’s calling on your life and any promises He has specifically given you is also very important. If God has ever given you a personal word or instruction about what you are supposed to be doing and how He wants to use you in His kingdom, then you need to come into alignment with that through faith and come into alignment with it through your will in taking action or moving towards that direction. This can also apply to something the Holy Spirit has previously convicted you about. Go back to the last thing the Holy Spirit told you to do and obey that command. If you don’t do these things and have neglected God’s direction for your life, then you are not walking by faith or by the Spirit and you will find yourself in a miserable condition unable to have victory over the flesh. Having faith in what God has called you to do and any specific promises He has given you, is just as important for your spiritual health as having faith in God’s Word.

And finally, the last instruction for walking by faith is having faith in God’s promises given to us through the Word of God. My favorite verse and promise in the Bible used to be Romans 8:28 when I was younger but now and for a long time it has been Romans 8:31-32 which says, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” Of all the promises in the Bible, this is the ultimate promise in which all other promises can be summed up in. God’s love for us displayed through the Father not holding back to give us His only Son and the Son suffering all that He did to rescue us, how could we ever doubt God’s love? How could we ever doubt that God is for us? What clearer message do we need? God gave to us His greatest gift—He gave to us His everything. And if He would not hold back in that, why would we think He would hold anything else back that is good for us? The conclusion then is that He is our good Father and we can wholly entrust ourselves to His loving care and choices for us despite whatever our circumstances or feelings might be.

Another popular verse that many people like is Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed” (cf. Mt. 28:20). Many times in the Bible God tells us “do not fear, do not fear, I am with you.” Sometimes we need that encouragement because we feel alone and isolated, like no one understands us, or that we might make a catastrophic failure out of our lives and decisions. But God is with us and will not abandon us. And no matter what friends or loved ones that may leave us or betray us, we can always rely on God to be there and to always be for our good. Though others may fail us, God can never fail us. He is too loving and good that He doesn’t even know how to fail us. So, whatever we may face in life, He is our rock, our strong fortress, and the God who is bigger than the entire cosmos. If this God is for us, why should we be afraid?

Psalm 16:11 says, “You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” And in Luke 18:29-30 Jesus says to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.” These verses are comforting because I am reminded that God is a just and equitable God. Whatever loss I have experienced in this life because of choosing the path of faith and following after Jesus, God will reward me for it so that He will restore all the lack that I have endured for the sake of following Him. In this way, there is truly no loss after all but rather, in Christ, all things are gain to me. The more the devil beats me down and I get up, the more I will be rewarded for keeping my faith. I can never lose as long as I continue to choose Christ. Whatever pleasures and fun in this world would like to wave and shine at me, are nothing compared to the glorious riches and pleasures awaiting for me in heaven. I have no bucket list of things I need to do, places I need to go, or even getting married, as something I need to do before I die. A bucket list like that is merely unbelief.

There are many more promises in the Bible but these should suffice for now to give understanding of what it means to walk by faith. Read the Bible yourself to find the promises that speak to you. There are also conditional promises like Mattthew 6:33 and Jeremiah 29:13 where if you follow certain actions, then God’s promise is sure and can be expected to come.

Here’s some food for thought. Read these statements and answer them in your own words.

If we truly believe God loves us and loves people, then we will…

If we truly believe God is just and equitable, then we will…

If we truly believe God is sovereign and all-wise, then we will…

If we truly believe God is good in all His ways, then we will…

If we truly believe God is humble and selfless, then we will…

If we truly believe God is _________________, then we will…

Now that you have filled in the blank, ask yourself whether your answers truly reflect what you believe in your heart. I say this because sometimes we can just give the right answers without really thinking about what we just said. Believing is more than just knowing. But if you’re having trouble knowing if you’re believing or not, then just look at your life and your actions and see how they align or don’t align with the truth of God. If you have a sinful action or attitude, then just think about what truth of God will help you to change and then start believing that truth. This is how we walk by faith.
